Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) corn futures fell on Tuesday, following wheat lower for a second consecutive session and as investors awaited further details on a US-China trade deal. CBOT May corn fell 4 cents to $3.76 per bushel, losing more than 1 percent for a second straight session.

Investors continue to watch for news on US-China trade talks on hopes that a deal could include a large grain purchase by China. US President Donald Trump said on Monday he was optimistic that a final trade deal could be reached with China and that he would hold a summit to sign any pact, but cautioned an agreement may still not happen.
